Laptop Computers Pay Off With Speed, Efficiency
Laptop computers are providing carriers with a faster, more effective way of doing business, according to marketing specialists in and out of the insurance industry.
"It can be helpful only if the agents know how to use it and if they have basic salesmanship skills," said Dick Nelson, vice president of New York Life's agency department.
He said that the company's management encourages the use of laptops among its agents, but does not have to do much prodding.
