Jul. 9--GOREE ISLAND, Senegal--President Bush launched a tour of Africa Tuesday by condemning the once thriving slave trade as "one of the greatest crimes of history."
Bush, who also moved the United States a step closer to participating in a multinational peacekeeping force in Liberia, used the public events on the first day of a five-country tour to address the tragic link between the United States and Africa.
