SKYPIX CORP. GETS $30 MILLION CASH INFUSION FROM HSN

St. Petersburg, Fla. -based Home Shopping Network Inc. (HSN) has announced plans to form a joint venture with Seattle, Wash. -based SkyPix Corp. and its parent company, Northwest Starscan Limited Partnership (Starscan) to provide medium-power, Ku-band DBS services beginning this summer. Under the terms of the agreement, HSN will provide services and capital in exchange for a 21% share in the venture, making the company SkyPix's first large investor.
