The Green Bay Packers are throwing a weeklong party to celebrate the completion of the new Lambeau Field.
The team announced Wednesday that it plans to salute Brown County residents, labor unions, Packers president Bob Harlan and Packers greats beginning Sunday, Aug. 31, and ending Sept. 7, when the franchise will rededicate the field before the season's first regular-season game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The $295.2 million makeover of the stadium is nearly complete.
The Packers also have commissioned a logo, called "Rebirth of a Legend," as the theme for the series of events.
