Lego Systems reports 18% sales gain ENFIELD, CONN. -- Lego Systems, the U.S. division of the Danish-based Lego Group, announced their 17th consecutive year of sales growth. The company increased its sales to consumers by 18 percent during 1990, despite a soft retail market.

"In light of the dreary retail climate, we are especially pleased with our year-end results," said Peter Eio, president of Lego Systems Inc. "We believe this result reflects the consumer's increasing preference for toys with high play value."
