Fort Thomas has decided not to reschedule its Fourth of July fireworks celebration, which was washed out by severe thunderstorms.
The city's 18-to-20-minute fireworks show was scheduled to light up the skies over Tower Park at 10:30 p.m. Friday -- about an hour after severe storms packing high winds and heavy rain moved into the tri-state.
City officials reached the decision Monday, said City Administrator Jeff Earlywine. The fireworks show would have been the first in the city in 15 years.
