Lou Piniella returns to Seattle this weekend for the first time as an opposing manager after he left the Great Northwest following the 2002 season, as his Devil Rays start a three-game series versus the Mariners tonight at Safeco Field.

It has been a complete transformation for Piniella, who is now in control of a team that is in last place instead of at the top of its division. His Devil Rays are firmly in the cellar of the AL East, while the team he departed is well ahead of the pack in the West.
