Jul. 11--KYOTO, Japan--Major Japanese storage battery makers Yuasa Corp. and Japan Storage Battery Co. said Friday they have agreed to integrate their businesses under a joint holding company they will establish next April 1.
The deal will create the world's second largest maker of storage batteries in terms of sales, with the two companies' combined sales totaling 191 billion yen in the year ended March 31.
