A smaller Australian grape crop has forced Lion Nathan to sharpen its focus on premium wines. The Australian wine and brewing company will grow its wine sector through the production of premium wines, priced above $A15 per bottle. Crops from the Adelaide Plains and Riverlands agricultural districts were 10 per cent smaller than in previous years. Despite the setback, Lion Nathan is hoping to achieve double-digit volume growth in 2003.
