The darling of the national right-wing news media, the St. Louis area's own Phyllis Schlafly, is once again dressed for battle to protect the republic from liberal nonsense and leftist totalitarianism.
Schlafly has taken aim at women's rights activists seeking to revive the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in several favorably-disposed state legislatures around the country. Schlafly argues that ERA is dead, dead, dead. She says supporters must start from scratch to push ERA through legislatures, a movement which she claims to have killed almost single-handedly 20 years ago.
