A TOP TV star has spoken for the first time about his remarkable fight for life after being struck down by one of the world's rarest cancers.
Eddie Naessens, who was known to hundreds of thousands of TV viewers as evil Dr Jack in Fair City, has spent the last year recovering from life-saving surgery to his face.
Now deaf in one ear and partially paralysed in the jaw, the 34-year-old star said: "I am glad to be alive. A year ago I didn't know if I would still be here."
