A HALF CENTURY AGO, BEN Pearson Archery Inc. was one of the most important industries in Pine Bluff, along with the Cotton Belt Railroad. For a time the city even billed itself as the "Archery Capital of the World."
From 1943 to the mid-1950s, the company was the largest manufacturer of archery equipment in the world.
