ESS Technology announced the availability of a Polaroid recordable DVD unit featuring ESS Technology's MPEG-2 Vantage video encoder and Vibratto decoder solutions. The Polaroid brand is licensed exclusively to the Petters Group, LLC to develop and sell consumer electronics. The Polaroid DVD-DVR is now available in major retail stores at a suggested retail price of $399.
