Jul. 10--TWIN FALLS, Idaho--When Glanbia Foods Inc.'s customers asked for 640-pound blocks of natural cheddar cheese, the Twin Falls-based dairy processor looked long and hard at Cassia County for a new plant location.
But Burley's development supporters lost out with Glanbia's Wednesday announcement of negotiations to build a cheese plant in the Texas Panhandle or eastern New Mexico.
Glanbia's biggest concern in Burley was lack of plentiful and immediate milk supply, said Jeff Williams, executive vice president.
