VIRGINIA BEACH -- Catherine Schirra, 13, runs her fingers through other people's hair.
The hair in her wig has come from 10 to 15 people and has traveled the globe - from each of the individuals' heads to a nonprofit in Florida, to processors in California, to a wigmaker in Indonesia, and finally to Catherine's Fox Chase home.
Daina Kampe's hair is about to embark on a similar journey.
The 10-year-old Beach resident cut 10 inches of her hair Monday to donate to Locks of Love, the Florida-based nonprofit that makes wigs for financially disadvantaged children.
