C.F. MARTIN is honoring five well known personalities with their own signature guitars: Andy Griffith, Eric Johnson, John Mayer, Ernest Tubb, and Lucinda Williams.
The Andy Griffith D-18AG Signature Edition is based on Griffith's treasured 1956 D-18, Serial #148639, which he used in several of his movie, stage, and television performances. The D-18 was first used in Griffith's movie, A Face in the Crowd; the guitar had been painted black and glued with sequins. After shooting was complete, Griffith took the guitar to John D'Angelico for refinishing.
