NLRB COUNSEL UPHOLDS APPEAL BY MOSES ON ILGWU PICKETS
WASHINGTON (FNS) -- The National Labor Relations Board general counsel -- in what amounts to a preliminary ruling -- has upheld an appeal by designer Rebecca Moses that the ILGWU illegally picketed her showroom for seven months in attempting to force her to sign an ILGWU contract that contained unlawful provisions.
A March 28 letter to Moses' attorney, Joel E. Cohen, said that her appeal had been sustained and the matter was being referred to an NLRB administrative law judge for a hearing. The NLRB letter was from Mary M. Shanklin, director of the NLRB office of appeals.
