On July 11, the British railways regulatory authority (Strategic Rail Authority - SRA) modified the terms of the South West Trains franchise (the biggest in the country) currently held by Stagecoach, putting the accent on punctuality and the comfort of the trains. Stagecoach will operate the South West Train franchise until 2007, and not until 2016 as initially expected.
