Nutraceutical International has expanded its retail presence in the US market by acquiring Arizona Health Foods, a chain of health food stores, for around $3.5 million in cash. The Park City, Utah-based company, which manufactures and markets nutritional supplements under brand names such as Solaray and VegLife, purchased substantially all of the operating assets of Arizona Health Foods through its Fresh Vitamins subsidiary.
