Jul. 17--A doctor who had rebuilt his career after being convicted for his role in a murder scheme more than a decade ago was arrested Wednesday on charges that he routinely practiced insurance fraud.
Dr. Thomas Hoshour, the director of Sober Life Alternatives, diagnosed patients with bogus ailments and overbilled insurance companies from his chain of eight drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinics, Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said. Hoshour faces charges of corrupt business influence and theft.
"This is a man who lined his pockets on the backs of addicts," Brizzi said. ...
