Wartime mission capable rates (MCR) for all Air Force tactical aircraft in Operation Desert Storm exceeded peacetime rates, according to statistical data released by the Air Force. Mission capable rates represent the percentage of aircraft available for a particular mission.
The data shows the respective peacetime and wartime MCRs for the following aircraft: F-15C/D, 85.1 percent, 93.7 percent; F-15E, 80.4 percent, 95.5 percent; F-16, 90.2 percent, 95.4 percent; A-10, 90.4 percent, 95.5 percent; F-117 Stealth fighter, 81.8 percent, 85.8 percent; and F-4G Wild Weasel, 83.7 percent, 88.7 percent.
