TROY, Mich., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Martha Gomez of Corpus Christi, Texas, was honored this week as the National Substitute Teacher of the Year for the 2002-2003 school year by Kelly Educational Staffing. The presentation was held at the administrative offices of the Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School District (ISD).

Gomez was selected from more than 9,000 Kelly substitute teachers as this year's winner. Gomez joined Kelly Educational Staffing in 2000 as a way to give back to her community.
