The New York State Budweiser Rhythm "in" Blues Festival has always been about more than its headliners.
Sure, the 12th annual edition of the Syracuse festival has a couple of real good ones in The Robben Ford Band and Dickey Betts & Great Southern to close the main-stage Clinton Square action on Saturday and Sunday.
But fans willing to stray to the paid portion of the fest at clubs today and Saturday and/or get to Clinton Square early Saturday and Sunday will be rewarded with a lot of cool music.
