Looking for something to make you forget about the apocalyptic prospects of Arnold Schwarzenegger becoming governor of California?

How about Jerry Springer in the U.S. Senate?

Springer, the obnoxious talk-show yapper whose nationally syndicated program features a brawling procession of skinheads, strippers and teen-aged moms with tattoos who have children with tattoos, has officially filed papers to run for the Senate from Ohio.

Unlike Schwarzenegger, Springer actually has a political resume. Although it's hard to believe, he was once mayor of Cincinnati before becoming famous from his talk show.
