Jul. 23--After a four-year absence, the Harbor Merchants Association is reforming with the goal of promoting harbor businesses.
The new association aims to be more unified and focused on promotion. So far, about 15 of the harbor's 37 businesses have signed on as interested parties. Gary Longaberger, captain of the Sunset Kidd and a driving force behind the association, hopes that number will increase if the association is successful.
