Jul. 23--LAKE WALES, Fla.--Polk Works is downsizing its Lake Wales One-Stop Center to cope with a 26.5 percent reduction in federal grant funds, spokeswoman Susan Clayton said Tuesday.
The final decision to make the changes was not made until funding was finalized earlier this month, she said.
Polk Works was forced to close its Bartow One-Stop Center in May because of the funding cuts. There were administrative staff layoffs, and funds for the teen pregnancy program were cut.
