The future for the city of Danbury is bright. In keeping with my administration's Plan of Conservation and Development, we have been able to attract investment and responsible development that will expand the tax base while preserving our magnificent natural resources and high quailty of life.
In the coming year development will begin on the 565-acre former Union Carbide site in the west side district of Danbury. The plan calls for the creation of zoning that will facilitate a mix of economic development and residential uses,' including a new minor-league baseball stadium and sports complex.
