NURSES COULD hold clinics in nightclubs to screen for sexually transmitted infections to stem the 'dramatic decline' in the nation's sexual health.
The radical measure was suggested by MPs on the health select committee after their investigation into sexual health found current screening methods to be inadequate. Groups of nurses have visited night clubs before but usually to encourage responsible drinking and to advise on drug misuse.
The MPs spent a year investigating the state of sexual health services in England and concluded they are in crisis. They found that the underuse of nurses was 'a lost opportunity'. The MPs said they are 'appalled by the ...
