Article: EU FINANCES WATER SUPPLY PROJECT IN JORDAN.

A project financed by the European Union will provide 80,000 inhabitants of Tafileh, in the South of Jordan, with regular water supplies announced the Delegation of the European Commission in Amman on July 14. This Euro 8.2 million project is to pump 404 m3 of water an hour. It will relieve the population of Tafileh who have to spend extra money to get water from the reservoirs in order to make up the shortfall of water supplies and the weaknesses of the pumping system.
