2003 AUG 1 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Cholestech Corporation (CTEC) announced that Roche GmbH has served Cholestech with a complaint filed March 2003 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana that alleges Cholestech is violating three Roche United States Patents for the measurement of HDL cholesterol.
The complaint, which the company believes is without merit and intends to defend vigorously, seeks a preliminary and permanent injunction, damages, and attorney's fees for patent infringement. Cholestech disclosed that it was in discussions with Roche regarding this matter in a press release dated June 25, 2003.
