2003 JUL 28 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Nutraceutical International Corporation (NUTR) is pleased to announce that it has completed the previously reported acquisition of the Arizona Health Foods chain of 11 health food stores, by purchasing substantially all of the operating assets of Arizona Health Foods, Inc., through its subsidiary, Fresh Vitamins, Inc.
The purchase price was approximately $3.5 million in cash. The shareholders of Arizona Health Foods, Inc., also entered into noncompete and consulting arrangements.
