JACKSON -- The state's business community recently celebrated the first anniversary of the Mississippi World Trade Center (MWTC).
The MWTC works to advance international trade and business development in Mississippi, and it is affiliated with the World Trade Center Association, which was established in 1970 to bring exporters, importers and service providers together with the goal of facilitating international trade. The first World Trade Centers (WTC) were located in Houston, New Orleans, New York and Tokyo. From that beginning 33 years ago, the list of WTC members has grown to almost 300 locations in about 100 countries around the world.
