Monsanto Co. filed a civil suit in the Federal District Court in Boston, Mass., July 3 against Oakhurst Dairy Inc. for allegedly using misleading claims in its product labeling and advertising to consumers.
According to the announcement, Monsanto seeks to stop Oakhurst from putting the statement "Our Farmer's Pledge: No Artificial Growth Hormones" on the labels of its milk and milk products or in any of their commercial advertising or promotion. This action would prohibit Oakhurst from stating or implying on it's label, corporate web site, in television or radio advertisements or in other commercial advertising or promotion that there are health or safety risks or ...
