The Corporacion Pesquera Inca-Copeinca had invested US$15mil by the end of 2002, of which US$10mil was invested in increasing the size of its fishing fleet, and US$10mil in the installation of a new plant in Chicama, says Mr. Samuel Dyer Coriat, the managing director of the company. He adds that the company's strategy of constant reinvestment of its profits has allowed it to achieve a significant rate of growth and increase in its market share of 4%.The company is waiting for confirmation of financing from outside Peru in order to begin construction of a US$ 5mil surimi fish ...
