Jul. 28--Ten northeast Indiana companies have been awarded training grants from the Indiana Department of Commerce.
The grants, announced by Lt. Gov. Joe Kernan last week, add up to more than $722,000. They were given in recognition of the $32 million the companies have invested in capital improvements and will support training of 2,500 current and new employees.
The grant recipients were:
Fort Wayne Metals Research, Fort Wayne. The producer of stainless steel wires for medical devices received $63,000 to train 266 existing and 28 new employees as part of a ...
