Company Announces Plans for Pivotal Phase III Trial of Actimmune in IPF

BRISBANE, Calif., July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- InterMune, Inc. today announced results from operations for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2003.

For the second quarter of 2003, InterMune recorded total net product sales of $35.7 million, compared to $23.7 million for the same quarter in 2002, an increase of 51%. Net sales of Actimmune(R) (interferon gamma-1b) for the second quarter of 2003 were $33.1 million, compared to $22.6 million in the same period in 2002, an increase of 46%.
