THE TRAUMA of giving birth nearly 16 weeks prematurely made Julie Lanham-Hathaway vow never to have another baby.
The 31-year-old mother and her husband Mike endured more than two months of uncertainty as their tiny daughter Isabelle struggled to survive.
But today's breakthrough is making them reconsider the possibility of another child.
Mrs Lanham-Hathaway said: "For the first 10 weeks of her life, the doctors couldn't tell us whether Isabelle would live or die. It wasn't a case of the longer she lived, the better she got. It was so terrifying and exhausting for the whole family.
