A Buffalo Grove man who stole a car minutes after being released by police on other theft charges was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison in Lake County Circuit Court.
Jakov Oskanov, 19, could earn his release in six months if he completes the military boot camp-style impact incarceration program.
Assistant State's Attorney Dan Kleinhubert said Oskanov, of 90 Pauline Court, was arrested by Vernon Hills police March 30 after an employee of the Amerisuites Hotel at 450 N. Milwaukee Ave. caught him rummaging through a desk.
