Six months into his tenure atop Suncorp Metway John Mulcahy has concluded that it's time to refocus.
"Of recent times, after we took over GIO, we got a little bit lost and a bit confused because we got bigger and a bit more complex," he said.
"And the matrix structure didn't work any more.
"So now we've restructured and we are well down the process of that having individual business lines accountable on an end-to-end basis.
"And we believe that will allow us to generate the performance out of the individual, businesses, but at the same time also generate the synergies of being together in a conglomerate structure."
