PHILADELPHIA, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifty percent of parents, according to a national opinion poll released today, know someone who wet the bed as a child at the age of 6 and older. Nonetheless, most parents do not know what causes bedwetting and many would be reluctant to discuss it with their child and even with their child's healthcare provider. The survey, sponsored by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the DOVE (Dysfunctional Outpatient Voiding Education) Center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, resulted from interviews with 745 parents of children 3-14 years old.
