WASHINGTON, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- In an initiative designed to encourage African Americans to donate organs, tissue, and bone marrow, The Links, Incorporated will present Linkages to Life in cities throughout the country on Sunday, August 3, 2003. Part of a nationwide effort, the event aims to create awareness among the African American community about the number of African Americans on the transplant waiting list and the need for more donors.
The Links, Incorporated is partnering with churches across the country to dedicate a portion of their Sunday, August 3 services to address the issue head-on to stress the increasing need for African American donors. ...
