CLEVELAND, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- A female chameleon laid 44 eggs today, it was announced by Cleveland Botanical Garden. In May, two pairs of the world's largest species of chameleon, Oustalet's Chameleon, were obtained by Cleveland Botanical Garden for the Madagascar exhibit in the new Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse, which opened to the public on July 15. The Glasshouse, a cutting-edge conservatory and the first to show both plants and animals in ecological context, features elaborate recreations of the spiny desert of Madagascar and a Costa Rican cloud forest.
