THE annual North West championships at Ramore Head, Portrush, next Saturday are being preceded this year by several events on the previous day with solo drumming, solo piping and Highland dancing taking place in the Catering College, Coleraine Road.
The Friday programme commences with solo drumming in three sections: Under 16, for which the requirements are four part march and two part strathspey and reel; and under 14 and under 12. They will play four part march, tune and time signature being own choice.
