Annika Sorenstam fired a threeunder 69 on Sunday to win the Women's British Open by one stroke over Se Ri Pak. Sorenstam, who finished the event at 10-under-par 278, also captures the final leg of the career grand slam.
Sorenstam won her first U.S. Women's Open in 1995, then claimed her Kraft Nabisco Championship crown in 2001 and she titled at the McDonald's LPGA Championship earlier this season for her wins in the other majors.
She is the sixth player in LPGA history to achieve the career Grand Slam, joining Juli Inkster, Karrie Webb, Pat Bradley, Louise Suggs and Mickey Wright. ...
