Aug. 5--New York City has seduced one of the world's largest manufacturers of intimate apparel into moving its distribution center back to the city from Bergen County.
Gelmart Industries Inc. has been granted an incentive package of sales and real estate tax breaks worth $1.3 million to move their Schuyler Avenue operations in Lyndhurst across the Hudson River to Queens, city officials said Monday.
The offer was made last week by the New York City Industrial Development Agency. Officials said Gelmart will spend about $940,000 to renovate the building and ...
