In the third inning of Sunday night's nationally televised game, a camera zoomed in on the mound, where Reds pitching coach Don Gullett was visiting Jimmy Haynes to determine whether he was all right. The visiting San Francisco Giants were in the midst of a lengthy, two-out rally, and what the tight shot showed viewers all across America was a look on Haynes face that answered Gullett's question, without Haynes even having to open his mouth.
Haynes stayed in the game, but only long enough for reliever Brian Reith to get fully warmed up.
