Kenton County residents who have unlisted phone numbers could miss an important call should a chemical spill, bomb threat or flash flood occur in their neighborhood.
That's because the county's new emergency phone notification system, also known as reverse 911, doesn't have their phone numbers either.
Bary Lusby, deputy director for Kenton County Emergency Management, said his office estimates there are more than 20,000 unlisted numbers in the county, all of which won't be notified by the system if an emergency occurs unless residents give his office their phone number.
