JAMAICA celebrates its Constitution Day today. The country is one of the islands in the Northern Caribbean forming the Greater Antilles. Kingston, a large commercial seaport, is the capital and largest city of Jamaica. The country is strategically located along the worlds major shipping and airline routes.
Jamaica is the largest English-speaking country in the Caribbean Sea, stretching 146 miles from east to west. Many Jamaicans also speak a local dialect of English that incorporates African, Spanish, and French elements.
