TOKYO, Aug 6 Asia Pulse - Kao Corp. (TSE:4452) on Tuesday announced plans to build a new plant for household products in a suburb of Bangkok, Thailand.
Kao's wholly owned subsidiary Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co. will invest some 10 billion yen (US$83.37 million) in the new factory, which will be constructed at the Amata Nakorn industrial site in the suburbs of Bangkok.
The new plant is slated to come on line in 2005, at which time Kao's existing aging plant in Bangkok will be closed.
