St. John Health plans to use the closing of its St. John NorthEast Community Hospital to shore up primary care in Detroit by adding a federally qualified health center and a new medical office building.
President and CEO Elliot Joseph told Crain's last week that the Warren-based hospital system hopes to add a federally qualified health center to St. John NorthEast, the campus it is transforming from an inpatient hospital into a primary-care campus.
The Catholic-sponsored health system also plans to open a medical office building near its Detroit Riverview Hospital, which St. John expects to handle some of NorthEast's inpatient ...
